Tammy Vazquez, MS-RMHCI

Tammy Vazquez believes that a large part of having life satisfaction is  one's ability to develop healthy relationships, whether it is a romantic partner, friendship, colleague, family member, etc.  Additionally, in relationships it is important to learn to accept that just because someone loves you, it doesn't mean that they are not allowed to feel negative emotions toward their loved one.  It happens....and they still love you!

Ms. Vazquez provides individual, couples, family and group therapy for different populations, including children, young adults, adults and seniors.  She has experience working with clients with behavioral challenges, limited social skills, divorce, anxiety, depression, grief, and low self-esteem.  Ms. Vazquez uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Social Skills and Assertiveness Training.

Ms. Vazquez earned a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at Lynn University and is currently a post-Master's Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern.  She is originally from Chicago, IL.   She earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Communications from Loyola University, Chicago.    Ms. Vazquez lived in Ecuador for 6 years where she taught meditation to individuals of all ages.  This was a great opportunity to immerse herself within her cultural heritage.
