Priscilla Souto is a licensed Mental Health Counselor, a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Florida Qualified Supervisor. Priscilla has worked in the field of mental health since 2004 and has been licensed since 2006. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University, with the majority of her clinical training completed at George Washington University Psychiatric Hospital. Priscilla brings a broad range of experience to Turning Point Mental Health Center. She specializes in family therapy and has extensive experience treating survivors of abuse and assault, and mental health disorders. Overall, Priscilla is highly capable in working with children, adolescents and adults and brings a solution focused model into therapy. Priscilla is equipped in providing brief family therapy interventions, which is ideal for behavioral issues, family conflict, and/or family transitions such as divorce. She is trained in an evidence-based model, Brief Strategic Family Therapy and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Priscilla’s career in the field of behavioral health has consisted of developing, managing, and supervising community based mental health and substance abuse facilities both for profit and non profit organizations. Additionally, Priscilla also provides clinical supervision to post Master’s Mental Health Counseling Interns.
