Brenna Doering, M.A.-RMHCI

Therapist

Brenna Doering strongly believes that all anyone seeks is to feel loved, respected, and accepted. As a therapist, her goal is to guide you through your healing journey, while ensuring that you feel safe and comfortable in sharing your story. Ms. Doering is part of the LGBTQIA+ and Latin communities, she goes by she/they pronouns, and speaks four languages: English, Portuguese, Spanish, and conversational French.

 

Although born and raised in South Florida, she obtained her Masters of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in school counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. After working as a School Counselor for a couple of years in the Broward County Public School System, Ms. Doering transitioned into the role of therapist at Turning Point, where she provides counseling services to clients of all ages, utilizing developmentally appropriate techniques.  She is currently a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the State of Florida.

 

Ms. Doering has an eclectic approach to therapy which means that she incorporates several theoretical approaches in her sessions. She really values meeting the client where they are by using the following therapy approaches: person-centered, dialectical behavioral therapy, internal family systems, play therapy, mindfulness, art therapy, and trauma-informed approaches to best fit her client's needs. Brenna has helped clients through a variety of personal challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, identity, family/relationship dynamics, and life transitions.
