A former journalist, Ms. Gonzalez recognizes that each person has their own unique story. But sometimes the stories we tell ourselves and those we hear about ourselves are harmful and can impact our emotional well-being. Utilizing a strength-based approach, Ms. Gonzalez offers clients perspective – sometimes with a dose of humor – so they can live with more clarity, resilience, and authenticity.

Ms. Gonzalez earned her Master of Social Work from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. Ms. Gonzalez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief/loss, relationship and family issues, and life transitions. She is an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and affirms all families and lifestyles. Her clinical approach includes person-centered and cognitive-behavior therapies and mindfulness techniques.

Before embarking on a second career as a therapist, Ms. Gonzalez worked at several newspapers including The Miami Herald, The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, Ohio, and The Chronicle of Higher Education in Washington, D.C. Ms. Gonzalez recently moved back to South Florida after being away for two decades. She is excited to be part of the team at Turning Point Mental Health Center
