Taya Taube, LMHC-QS

Program Manager

Taya Taube is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Qualified Supervisor, Consultant, and Adjunct Psychology Professor with over 15 years of experience working within systems of care with a focus on child welfare and health care management.  Ms. Taube also has expertise in delivering comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment interventions for children and adults. She began her career as a contracted therapist and targeted case manager with PsychSolutions, Inc, from 2003 – 2006. Thereafter, she served as the Director of Behavioral Health from 2006 to 2015 and again from 2017-2019 at Our Kids of Miami-Dade/Monroe, Inc., the lead Community-Based Care Agency for foster care and adoption services in Miami-Dade and the Florida Keys. In that role, she directed an efficient, coordinated system of care to serve families involved in the child welfare system and strengthened a quality assurance and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process for system-level well-being outcomes for children. From 2015 – 2017, Ms. Taube served as a Project Director for two federal Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) grants that aimed to improve the system of care in Miami-Dade County. Moreover, she currently teaches undergraduate psychology courses at Florida International University including Psychotherapy.

Ms. Taube graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Florida and a Master of Science degree in Professional Counseling Psychology from Florida International University. Moreover, She holds a professional license as a mental health counselor in the State of Florida and is certified by the Florida Department of Health as a Qualified Clinical Supervisor for mental health counselor interns.
